Biography
State Representative
Ken Dunkin was born and raised in the Cabrini Green Public Housing Development.
Dunkin attended Lincoln Park High School and graduated with an AA degree
from Harold Washington College. He received a BA in Political Science from
Morehouse College and a MA in Social Service Administration from the
University of Chicago.
As a social worker, Ken Dunkin has spent his professional life serving
people. Most recently, he was the Director of the Robert Taylor Boys and
Girls Club of Chicago, where he managed over $2.5 million in program services.
Dunkin was also a Consultant for the City of Chicago Department of Health
and Department on Aging. He interned with the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services Health Care Financing Administration and United States
Senator Paul Simon in Washington D.C.
His civic activities include membership on the boards of the Associate Board of
the Chicago International Film Festival, Lawson YMCA, Near North Health Services Corp., and the Governor's Film Task Force.
